The Masters Leaderboard – Rory McIlroy Heads to the Back Nine With a Four-Shot Lead

Rory McIlroy heads to the back nine with a four-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after a birdie on the par-4 ninth. The Irishman blasted his second shot over the corner of the green and then hit a delightful wedge from 87 yards that spun off the back bank down towards the cup and into the middle. He then drained the putt for a birdie and a 12-under-par round.

The Masters is one of the most exclusive tournaments in professional golf. Participation is by invitation only, with the smallest field of any major championship in North American professional golf. Invitations are awarded to past winners, players who have won full-point events on the PGA Tour in the previous season and leading players in the Official World Golf Ranking.

CBS will televise the final two rounds of the Masters on Sunday. Live streaming will be available on Paramount+ from noon ET until 2 p.m. ET when CBS kicks off coverage on The Masters leaderboard.

The Masters tournament has come to a remarkable end with a sudden-death playoff between Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose at Augusta National. The pair were tied at the end of regulation after both shot 66, but McIlroy missed a 5-foot par putt on the 18th that would have given him his fifth green jacket and completed the career Grand Slam. It’s the first Masters playoff since Sergio Garcia beat Rory Rose in 2017 to win his fourth title.
